Recommended Ordinance Changes
Mission:
To assist in the future planning and development of rural Shawano County, and to promote and protect public health, safety, comfort, and convenience through the regulation and inspection of private sewage systems, land uses, and building sites; for the purpose of preserving surface and groundwater resources, wetlands, shorelands, natural beauty, and property and land values in all unincorporated areas of Shawano County.
This Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Shawano County Code of Ordinances in reference to:Other programs, plans, and ordinances to include:- POWTS Maintenance Program
- County Comprehensive Plan
- County Farmland Preservation Plan
- Shawano County Planning and Development Fee Schedule Ordinance
