Because trails are groomed does not necessarily mean they are open!
Call (715) 524-4349 for up to date openings/closings before you ride.
Law Enforcement and Wisconsin DNR Field Wardens reference this website / phone recording when issuing citations for riding on closed trails in Shawano County.
“If you witness violations or violators, Do Not Confront. Obtain videos or pictures of violators’ actions and try to obtain registration decals of vehicle. Forward to Law Enforcement.”
All the trails in Shawano County are made possible by the volunteer efforts of the members of 18 different clubs. Members work throughout the year with landowners, the DNR and State associations to be sure we all have trails to ride when the snow flies.
Are you a club member? If not, consider joining your local club and learning just how vulnerable our trails are when clubs experience a lack of help or riders disrespect landowners' property.
Your contributions would be greatly appreciated!
