MISSION STATEMENT: To afford those using the Court system all the necessary information and documentation to allow them to be informed on procedures, and give them the direction they need to complete their court related activities or litigation.
The Clerk of Courts Office requests that parties wishing to have file stamped documents
returned to them after filing, please include self addressed,
stamped envelope (with proper postage amount) along with your documents for filing.

Clerk of Court Responsibilities
- Maintain Court Case Management
- Maintain Judgment and Lien dockets
- Collection of fines and forfeitures in traffic, ordinance violations, and criminal cases.
- Process passport applications
The Clerk of Circuit Courts office processes criminal, DNR and ordinance forfeitures, traffic, family matters, large civil, small claims and restraining order actions. Processes fines, fees and restitution payments, jury selection, passport applications, register of officials, record searches, license suspensions and arrests and commitment orders for failure to pay fines.
MANDATORY E-FILING EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 2017
All attorneys, high volume Pro Se Small Claims filers that file 10 or more cases per year (i/e Heights Finance, Lebakkens, etc.) must efile cases effective May 1, 2017. Please review the process at https://www.wicourts.gov/ecourts/efilecircuit/index.jsp
