To carry out the duties of the Circuit Court set forth in the Constitution and Statutes of the State of Wisconsin as efficiently and as fairly as possible. Circuit Court, Branch I generally conducts probate of estates, guardianships of minors and incompetents, juvenile hearings, adoptions,  traffic cases and one half of superior civil cases, criminal cases and small claims.

Branch I also performs marriage ceremonies.

MENOMINEE COUNTY CASES:
Menominee County cases are filed with the Menominee County Clerk of Court. That office is located at PO Box 279, Keshena WI 54135. The telephone number is (715) 799-3313. Fine and forfeiture payments are made at the Menominee County Clerk of Court. Scheduling takes place with the judicial assistant who can be reached at 715-526-9352. Hearings on Menominee County cases take place at the Shawano County Courthouse.

TALKING WITH THE JUDGE:
The Judge may only talk on the record with both sides to an action present.
