Mission Statement

To afford those using the Court system all the necessary information and documentation to allow them to be informed on procedures, and give them the direction they need to complete their court related activities or litigation.


COVID-19 Remote Hearings - Exceptions

The Clerk of Circuit Courts office processes criminal, DNR and ordinance forfeitures, traffic, family matters, large civil, small claims and restraining order actions. Processes fines, fees and restitution payments, jury selection, passport applications, register of officials, record searches, license suspensions and arrests and commitment orders for failure to pay fines.

All attorneys, high volume Pro Se Small Claims filers that file 10 or more cases per year (i/e Heights Finance, Lebakkens, etc.) must efile cases effective May 1, 2017. Please review the process at

In an effort to better serve its customers, Shawano County has installed a drive-up payment drop box in the parking lot adjacent to the Courthouse. This will allow for after hours and weekend payments. Payments can be made on County Property Taxes, County Fines, and to receive Trail Passes and Boat Landing Permits. Payment must be in Check or Money Orders. (Do not use Cash) Payments should be marked with the Payers Name, Address, Phone Number and type of payment. Payment envelopes are available in the Clerk of Court’s, Treasurer and Clerk’s offices
