Chaplain Service
There are, currently, two pastors involved in the Chaplain Service and they are:
Reverend Todd Jerabek from Zion Lutheran Church - Embarrass and St. Peter Lutheran Church - Pella Opening.
Reverend Mark Harris from First Apostolic Church - Shawano
The purpose of the Chaplain Service is to provide help, counseling and, in some cases, religious ministration to employees of the Shawano County Sheriff's Department and to others in times of distress and/or tragedy.
The services of a Department Chaplain shall be available 24-hours-per-day.
It is understood that the Law Enforcement Chaplain is a volunteer, non-sworn position. It is further understood that the Law Enforcement Chaplain is not a Law Enforcement Officer and is independent of the Sheriff's Department.
Further, if any municipal Law Enforcement Agency, within Shawano County, wishes to use the services of the Shawano County Sheriff's Department Chaplain, the Chief or his/her designee from that agency will contact the Sheriff, or his designee, to request their services. |
