General Information

The current Patrol Division consists of: Field Services Captain, Three Patrol Lieutenants, Three Patrol Sergeants and Twenty Patrol Deputies

The Patrol Division is responsible for an assortment of assignments including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Enforcement of Traffic, Ordinance and Criminal Violations Laws
  • Prisoner Transports – The Sheriff’s Patrol performs various prisoner transports to include:
    Transportation to and from State Prisons; County Jails; Court; Doctor and Dentist appointments. The Patrol also transports prisoners from other jurisdictions (in and out-of-state) that are either wanted by our Department or are needed for a court appearance.
  • The Patrol Division investigates motor vehicle crashes, ranging from a car vs. deer crash to a multi-vehicle, multi-fatal crash.
The Patrol Division also responds to an assortment of citizens requests / complaints, including theft, burglary, vandalism, domestic disputes, trespassing, motorist assist, etc.

The Patrol Division calls on the assistance of the Investigative Division when it is determined that a particular complaint is complex, time intensive or otherwise requires specialized training/skills and resources.
