Description
Services include, but are not limited to case management and service coordination, linkage, residential, vocational, mental health, alcohol and drug inpatient and outpatient treatment, emergency mental health and alcohol/drug services, crisis intervention, outreach, information and referral, education, court and financial services.
Services are based on the individual consumer needs and desires and are provided by the department directly, through contractual basis by private providers or through information and referral to other available providers. Funding for services is derived through State and Federal funding, third party insurers, private pay, grants, production revenues, and County funds.
The services of the Shawano County Department of Community Programs were established under Wisconsin Statutes 51.42 and 51.437 in 1974. The Department operates under the Community Programs Board and the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Funding is received through the Department of Health Services, Shawano County, revenues from third party, consumer collections and production income from Lakeland Industries.
